In a leadership transition at the Seme Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Comptroller Kayode Rasheed Kolade has officially assumed duties as the new Customs Area Controller, following the elevation of his predecessor, Timi Bomodi, to Assistant Comptroller General (ACG).
In a brief handover ceremony held at the Seme-Krake Joint Border Post on September Tuesday, Comptroller Kolade expressed his commitment to building on the achievements of his predecessor. He assured officers that he would improve operations at the Command, leveraging his extensive experience in customs enforcement, particularly at border posts.
Kolade, who has previously served at the Seme Area Command, expressed confidence in his ability to navigate the complexities of the frontier, promising to enhance the performance of the Command with teamwork and cooperation. He called on officers to collaborate in the national interest, emphasizing that the support of every individual would be crucial to achieving their goals.
In his farewell remarks, the newly-appointed ACG Timi Bomodi thanked Comptroller General of Customs Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, and the NCS management for the opportunity to serve as CAC. He also expressed gratitude for the support he received from officers and stakeholders during his tenure, urging them to extend the same cooperation to Comptroller Kolade.
