New Akwa Ibom Police Command PPRO ASP Timfon John Assumes Duty

The newly appointed Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Akwa Ibom State Police Command ASP John Timfon has assumed duty at the Command Headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia.

Her appointment and posting was approved by the Inspector General of Police ,IGP Kayode Adeoye Egbetokun, recently.

The new PPRO takes over from CSP Odiko Macdon (ANIPR) who was recently promoted to the higher rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).

The Police PRO holds an LL.B, (Hons) Degree in Law from the prestigious Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State. She is a member of the Regular course 2.

The new image maker of the Command hails from Akwa Ibom State and was until her recent posting, the Head of Programmes for Nigeria Police Radio 99.1FM, Abuja.

She is assuming duty as the 24th Police Public Relations Officer, Akwa Ibom State since creation of the state over three decades ago.

appreciates the immediate past PPRO, CSP Odiko Macdon for his professionalism, and peaceful relationship enjoyed by the Command from the People of Akwa Ibom State. The Command enjoined the peace loving people of the state to accord the new PPRO, ASP Timfon John the needed co-operation to succeed in her new role.

Meanwhile the new PPRO
ASP Timfon John, has expressed her gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Egbetokun, and the State Commissioner of Police, CP Waheed Ayilara for the opportunity to serve and pledges to discharge her duties professionally.

She therefore appeals to members of the public for their support and cooperation towards the discharge of her responsibilities in the State.
And equally enjoins personnel to always imbibe professionalism and civility in the discharge of their duty.
