Following the online uproar over her allegations of theft in a Lagos market, actress Lizzy Anjorin has broken her silence in a new video responding to a viral clip where she was accused of stealing gold jewelry at Ikorodu market.
Addressing the allegations of theft and fraudulent transactions, Lizzy Anjorin asserted that she was set up, emphasizing that the accusations against her were false. She shared this clarification via her verified Instagram page in the early hours of February 6th, 2024.
She explained that on November 17th, 2023, she purchased clothing accessories from a vendor, not gold as claimed on social media. Furthermore, she stated that she made a payment of 91K to the vendor’s account, with her partner assisting in the transaction.
However, on February 5th, 2024, Lizzy Anjorin revisited the Idumota market, only for the vendor to accuse her of non-payment. Despite her husband’s offer to send an additional N100K to settle the matter, the vendor refused, likening her to an armed robber and referencing someone named Shepeteri (Iyabo Ojo) who was allegedly celebrating.
