Relations, friends, political associates and family of Barrister Bassey- Dan Abia, former Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission ( NDDC) thronged Wesley University, Ondo State on Saturday November 11, 2023 to fecilitate with him as he received Honourary Doctors Degree.
The former MD of NDDC and former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Akwa Ibom State, was confered with Honoray Doctorate Degree (Honoris Causa) by Wesley University, Ondo State.
The award is said to be in recognition of his enormous contributions to the economy of Nigeria in the area of training and self development of future leaders, particularly in education, science and technology, health, provision of social services, poverty alleviation amongst others.
Many individuals from the state and groups have fecilitated with him over the conferment of Doctorate Degree on Abia who also holds the traditional title of Obong Uwana Esit Eket.
One of these groups is The Friends of Barrister Bassey Dan- Abia.
The group in their congratulatory message eulogized him for the honour which is well deserved for his contributions to humanity over the years among others.
