The Nigeria Police Force Zone 7 Headquarters, Abuja gets new Assistant
Inspector General of Police (AIG) in the person of AlG Adebowale Williams, He assumes duty as the 32nd Assistant Inspector General of Police since the creation of the Zone.
In line with the released statement by DSP Mustapha B. Abdulkadir, Police Public Relations Officer, ‘The New Assistant Inspector General of Police was born on the 28th of
January, 1966. He hails from Akure South LGA Ondo State. He is a fellow of the National Defense College. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Political Science, Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Peace and Conflict
Resolution, and a (Bachelor of Law degree) LL.B in Law. He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on the 18th of May, 1992.
The AIG has served in different capacities across the country in the areas of Administration, Crime Management, Intelligence, investigation, Public
Safety, Operations and Public Relations’
“In the course of his career, the AlG has held many strategic positions in the force, including but not limited to the following;
-Police Public Relations Officer Enugu State Command
-Commander Special Enquiry Bureau, Force Headquarters
-Area Commander Kontagora, Niger State
-Member IGP Special Investigation Unit
-Staff Officer attached to Federal Operations Department, Force HQ
-Director Professional Studies, Police Staff College, Jos Plateau State.
-CP Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex, Gombe (in charge of
North East)
-Commissioner of Police Oyo State Command and many more.
He is credited for his reputation in leadership and operational prowess
internationally across the security orbit, evident upon this was his special
recommendation draft to perform key operational peace-keeping mission
function at Kosovo, Sierra Leone and East Timor.
The new AlG is a recipient of many awards and coamendation for excellence
and meritorious service, both at home and abroad.
The AIG ‘solicits for maximum support and cooperation of the general public in
FCT and Niger State as he sets to sustain the prevailing peace and stability in the
Zone’
