Troops Destroy Seven Boko Haram Camps In Borno

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) have destroyed six Boko Haram camps on the fringe of Sambisa Forest, in Borno state.

The market in the midst of the camps was also destroyed on Saturday, March 25, 2023 forcing some of the terrorists to flee into the Forest.

A counter-insurgency expert, in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, disclosed, yesterday (Sunday), in Maiduguri that the destroyed camps are located at Bula Agaida, Bula Yaga, Bula Yambai, Kuluri, Bula Umar and the new Churchur in Bama Council of the State.

Besides, he added that after torching the six camps, an un specified number of terrorists were killed by troops of 21Task Force Brigade, Bama.

A military source in Maiduguri, also stated that the troops also discovered and destroyed a larger hideout camp located between Bula Agaida and Bula Yaga.

The sources said that during the raid, the troops discovered and destroyed a large Boko Haram camp in the axis of Bula Agaida and Bula Yaga of the Forest.

Other arms recovered by the troops included a Toyota Hilux gun truck used to communities on the fringes of Sambisa Forest.

The sources confirmed that most of the terrorists had deserted their camps while those that were rebuilt were destroyed by troops.
