The Presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), Sen. Ahmed Bola Tinubu has pledged to revamp the economy and recharge Lake Chad to fight poverty, inflation and unemployment among youths.
Tinubu made the pledges, yesterday (Saturday), during the APC presidential campaign rally at the El-Kanemi Warriors Sports Centre, Maiduguri.
According to him, the revamp of the economy will renew hopes of the people to be hardworking, honest and accountable, if elected the next President.
“Successes are to comeback with renewed hopes of revamping the economy,” he said.
He assured that his administration will be “transparent and accountable” to the people along with his running mate, Sen. Kashim Shettima.
Besides, he added: “After the people’s sufferings from insecurity, poverty and unemployment, we’ll reduce the economic indicators for a prosperous economy of the country.”
Speaking on education, he noted that education will be employed as the greatest weapon to overcome the challenges facing the country to develop for economic prosperity.
He added that the education is also a weapon to secure the future of children in country’s six geopolitical zones,
The APC national Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, said that by next Saturday, the party will win the Presidential election.
He therefore called on the people to come out en mass to vote for Senators Tinubu and Shettima.
He also presented the APC flag to Governor Babagana Zulum for his campaign to win the gubernatorial election on March 11, 2023.
Five candidates of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and All People’s Party (APP) were decamped and received by Adamu at the presidential rally.
The APC party chieftains that attended the campaign rally that commenced by 3.10pm included Governors Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state, Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa and Jigawa Governor, Abubakar Badaru.
