Troops of 21 Special Armoured Brigade, Sector 1 of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have rescued another Chibok school girl along with three others in Bama and Monguno Councils of Borno State.
The other three girls, were rescued by the 242 Battalion, Sector 3 of OPHK in Monguno Local Government Area of the state.
General Officer Commanding (GOC), 7 Division, Nigerian Army, Maj-Gen. Waidi Shuaibu, disclosed that; “Aisha Grema was rescued on Friday, August 12, 2022 along with her four-year child.”
While interacting with the rescued, Mrs, Salamatu expressed immense delight on the success recorded by troops of OPHK. She further encouraged them with words of advice while assuring them of the commitment of the Military in conjunction with Borno State Government to reunite them with their families.
According to him, Mwanret Daspan, 29 was abducted on December 21, 2022, while Claris Fidel, 22, from N’djamena, Chad was kidnapped on March 25, 2022 and Hauwa, 12-year old girl had been in Boko Haram captivity as a toddler.
The Theatre Commander, Joint Task Force (JTF) Northeast, OPHK, Maj-Gen. Christopher Musa assured the general public of the Army’s commitment in rescuing all captives held by the two terror groups.
The measures, he said was to restore peace in the Northeast region of the country.
The National President of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), Hajiya Salamatu Yahaya also donated relief materials and financial support to the rescued girls at the Maimalari military cantonment.
Salamatu also expressed her delights over the successes recorded by the troops of OPHK in Sambisa Forest and the Lake Chad region, bordering Niger, Cameroon, Nigeria and Chad.
She said: “I assured you of the commitments of the military and the Borno state government reunite the rescued school girls with their families,” she said.
