UMARA APPOINTS SPECIAL ADVISER, 9 SENIOUR SPECIAL ASSISTANTS ON SECURITY, OTHERS

Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara; has approved the appointments of Col. Abubakar Chiroma (rtd) and Alhaji Mustapha Ali as Special Adviser and Senior Special Assistant on security. Announcing the appointments on Wednesday in Maiduguri, the Special Adviser on Public Relations and Strategy, Isa Gusau; said that a date would be set by Umara for the swearing in of Col. Chiroma, while other appointment take immediate effect. He said other appointments made by the Governor; include nine Senior Special Advisers on Job Creation and Youths Empowerment, Public Finance and Management, Projects Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation. He said as Mr. Christopher Akaba is the senior special assistant on job creation and youths’ employment, Alfred Bwala, is to serve as senior special assistant on media to the Deputy Governor, Umar Kadafur. He said other specific functions of the new senior special assistants, comprise Ali Abba Jato (Abuja Liaison Services), Sale Habib (Schedules and Events), Bukar Mustapha (Documentation), Alhaji Mustapha Bulu (Public Financial Management). According to him, Yusuf Shettima, is the Senior Special Assistant on Projects Monitoring and Evaluation, while Abdullahi Yusuf will serve as Special Assistant on projects documentation.
