The next phase of Nigeria’s oldest football competition would be kicking off from today. The Federation’s cup now known as the AITEO Cup’s quarter final fixtures draws can be found below;
AITEO Cup Quarter –Final Matches (First leg: Wednesday, 20 September)
WOMEN DRAWS:
Bayelsa Queens Vs Nasarawa Amazons (Nembe)
Ibom Angels Vs Pelican Stars (Itam)
Rivers Angels Vs Edo Queens (Port Harcourt)
Abia Angels Vs Confluence Queens (Umuahia)
No doubt, these club sides in the women’s draws are no pushovers but going by the way the Nigerian Women’s Football League (NWFL) ended weeks back, teams like Nasarawa Amazons, Rivers Angels, Confluence Queens as well as Ibom Angels are favourites to make the Semi-finals of the competition.

This year’s quarter finalist are quite interesting for the men’s draws, the draws includes NPFL 2017 league champions Plateau United, 2016 Cup winners FC IfeanyiUbah are also present, former cup winners Akwa United are in the mix. All these points to the fact that the experience would play a major part in deciding the semi-finalist and the motivation of going to the continent would also spur on the teams as they slug it out on the pitch.
