How to reposition the Peoples Democratic Party , PDP, and bring it back to the position it was in 1999 is a task before Ali Modu Sheriff, PDP chairman. Scroll Report learnt that activities at the party secretariat in Abuja showed that Sheriff wants to reconcile all the factions.
Makanjuola Ogundipe South-West chairman of the party had earlier urged Sherff to see himself as a father of all members. Ogundipe also pledged the support of the South-West for Sheriff.
But, Sheriff needs more than the support of the South-West to succeed, as he faces stiff opposition from the governors and the majority members of the Board of Trustees.
Meanwhile, there is peace of the graveyard in the secretariat as the Senator Ahmed Makarfi group still remain resolute in their determination to pursue their case to its logical conclusion.
