Lagos Assembly Impeaches Speaker Obasa
Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have impeached their Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, over multiple allegations of fraud and misconduct.
The lawmakers subsequently replaced Obasa with his deputy Mojisola Lasbat Meranda, representing Apapa 1.
As of the time of filing this report, armed security personnel have taken over the assembly complex and environs.
