Born on August 16, 1980, to the family of the late Chief T. A. Lawal Akapo, the Ojora of Lagos, and Princess M. A. Lawal-Akapo, she hails from prominent royal families of Lagos: Ojora, Aromire, Onitolo, Oloto, and Oniru. Her father, a former legislator and traditional ruler, and her brother, His Royal Majesty AbdulWasiu Omogbolahan Lawal, Oniru of Iru land, have inspired her lifelong commitment to public service.
