President Tinubu postpones FEC meeting over Lagbaja
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has postponed the Federal Executive Council meeting scheduled to hold on Wednesday (today) till another date to be announced in honour of Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff, who passed away on Tuesday night.

The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, made this known in a statement on Wednesday.
The Eagle Online recalls that Lagbaja served as the Chief of Army Staff from June 19, 2023 till his death on November 5, 2024.
According to Onanuga, President Tinubu also ordered flags to be flown at half-staff nationwide for seven days in honour of the departed General.
Earlier on Wednesday, President Tinubu expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Lagbaja family and the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
He wished General Lagbaja eternal peace and honoured his significant contributions to the nation.
