Ecobank Group Declares N1.27 trillion in Gross Earnings For 2023 Financial Year

Ecobank Transnational Incorporated operating through it’s major subsidiary Ecobank, has declared N182.92 billion as profit after tax for 2023 financial year.
According to the financial conglomerate, it’s profit before tax stood at N262.17bn while it’s gross earnings grew impressively from N761.30bn in 2022 to N1.27 trillion for 2023 financial year.
The result for gross earnings for the year under review, shows an increase of 59 percent.
Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, which operates through it’s major subsidiary Ecobank Nigeria where it’s headquarters is domicile in Lagos, has 640 branches located in major towns and cities in 27 African Countries with the bulk being in Nigeria.
It could be recalled that, the Group recently won the Best Bank for SMEs in Africa for 2024, while the Nigerian affiliate Ecobank Nigeria similarly won the award for the Best Foreign Exchange Bank.
It is noteworthy that Ecobank Nigeria in its drive to mobilise deposits as a way of shoring its capital, last July unveiled a 6 – month promo tagged ‘ Ecobank Super Rewards Millionaire Geng Promo’.
Under the promo which began on July 1 to terminate in December 31,2024 a total of 520 customers will win various cash prizes ranging from N50,000 to two million Naira (N2m).
Like other prominent commercial banks, the bank offers arrays of products and services ranging from international accounts, electronic banking, money transfer services, term loans, treasury services, financial advisory and consultancy services for asset and wealth managers.
