First Bank Launches 130th Anniversary Campaign
..To reward customers with gifts and prizes

First Bank of Nigeria PLC has launched a campaign tagged the ‘ Giant Campaign’ as part of bank’s activities to commemorate it’s 130 years anniversary.
According to the bank, the over a century anniversary is to emphasised it’s commitment towards always putting it’s loyal customers first.
The anniversary campaign will enable the premier bank give out varieties of items ranging from airtime, iPhone 15 and shopping vouchers.
Also incorporated as part of the anniversary campaign would be games, entertainment and other fund across the platforms.
Primarily, the unique campaign tagged the Giant Campaign will enabled customers win amazing prizes by capturing it in both snap shots and video recording.
Speaking on the Giant Campaign when it was premiere, Group Head of Brand Andy Shareholders Management of First Bank Yinka Ijabiyi said the campaign was more of a confirmation to the unwavering commitment of the bank that among us, there is always a giant be it customers, employees and partners.
” The campaign celebrates the idea that every success story is intertwined with First Bank’s journey, understanding the notion that enabling success for its stakeholders is tantamount to achieving success for the bank itself”.
He further added that the anniversary campaign is more than a marketing initiative that embodies the bank’s mission.
” The Giant Campaign is more than a marketing initiative, it embodies First Bank mission to empower, inspire and support its community.
” It recognises the pivotal role of the media in societal development, acknowledging their crucial functions in providing information, promoting education and shaping public perception”.
Explaining one of the key features of the Great Campaign to celebrate the 130 years of First Bank, it said there would be a strategic positioning of a large 1-3-0 cut across Lagos.
The aim according to First Bank is to captivate the audience and encourage them to snap photos and record videos with these numbers wherever they come across them. They are then required to post the photos on their social media pages and tag @FirstbankNigeria to win prizes.
On how to participate, the bank explained that participants must follow the bank on all their social media platforms.
They are also expected to create a video anytime they spot 1-3-0 cut out.
Still on mode of participation, participants will post the video on their story, tag @FirstbankNigeria and use the hashtag #Youfirst#130Challenge while making the post.
The bank says ‘ Vybers’ will be picked at random to determine those legible for prizes.
First Bank as it name implies was the first operating bank in Nigeria which began in 1894 with the name Standard Bank.
The bank says its rich history of banking include standing together with the Nigerian people during memorial events like the amalgamation of 1914 and National Independence of 1960.
It said it was the first commercial bank that gave loans to Nigerians after Independence and the first to open the London Branch for the purpose of fostering international banking relationships between Nigeria and foreign businesses.
The bank also lay claim to being the first commercial bank to have branches in Kano, Calabar, Zaria, Lagos and Ibadan.
The bank by virtue of its position as the first commercial bank to be involved in merger and acquisition, acquired it’s competitor Anglo-African Bank.
The Board of the the bank recently appointed Olusegun Alebiosu as the new Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. He had replaced Adeduntan who resigned as CEO.
