Sani disclosed this after the military handed over the pupils to the state government at the Kaduna State Government House.
The governor promised to ensure the protection of lives across the state.
He said: “The reason why we are hear is the protection of lives and properties, Kaduna state government will continue to prioritize security.
“We had 16 days of sleepless night and the Kaduna State government will continue to work with the relevant security agencies to ensure that all our local governments are saved”
The governor also commended President Bola Tinubu, National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and the security agencies in the state.
Sani also cautioned the media against trying to unravel the story behind how the students were rescued from captivity.
On March 7, 2024, bandits had abducted 137 schoolchildren from the Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
In the wee hours of Sunday, the governor had announced the release of the abducted pupils.
Confirming the report, the Nigerian Military said the pupils were rescued from Zamfara State were their captors had taken them.
However, Sani dismissed claims that ransom was paid to effect the release of the pupils.
