Praise GOD
HE’s given me strength to be a tither and because of that; before the need arises, supplies will always come. That’s one thing GOD has proven HIMSELF over the years..-Kemi Soyege

GODSPOWERPROJECT: Give an Insight into your Christian experience
Kemi Soyege: (Like Papa would say, you need to put a date to when you got born again)
I got born again as a teenager, but somehow, when I was a youth, I behaved as one, not as if I stopped going to church, but youthful exuberance left GOD out of my matter until September 1990, when I was privileged to join the Winners‘ family and rededicated my life to Christ, and GOD has been so faithful. By 1992, I was privileged to join the Children’s Church as a teacher, then in Winners– Kaduna. I was privileged to rise in service, to be the assistant coordinator of the Children’s church for two years before I relocated to Lagos. Came to Lagos in December 1998. Continued with my service both as a member of the Winners family and also remained a teacher in the Children’s church. And still there till date.
GODSPOWERPROJECT: What is your striking testimony
Kemi Soyege: I have several but one testimony I’ll live to remember is when I started with the Winners family as a member with my children, one of the evening services, Bishop Abioye was the resident Pastor and Papa came visiting.
The service was unusually prolonged because by 7.45pm service was usually ended but here I was, after 8, and I became very restless because I believe I needed to share the Goodness; the seal of the service. I began to tell GOD ‘please let your Servant round up this service. I want to be home and dont want to leave this service without sharing the Goodness‘.
Papa in his very wonderful way, i don’t know how else to put it, said ‘in closing‘ 3 times, and then each time would continue the teaching. Then the third time he said ‘finally, in closing, I don’t know who you are but there’s someone here that does not know what you’ll meet when you get home, but I speak peace to your situation‘. And then, I caught that Word, as at this moment, I had left inside the Church, already outside the hall, and I held on to that Word. That Word of peace lasted me till my husband passed on.
Anytime and everytime there were challenges, fear or tension, I would remind GOD, remember what YOU said. And we enjoyed that peace since ‘1992‘ till he passed in 2013. The faithfulness of GOD was decreed all through these years. A testimony I can’t forget.
Also, my daughter had this skin condition and it was so bad we had to see a dermatologist. Despite the tests and medications given, it would look like it’s healed then it would come back. Then one day I had to go and see the Presiding Bishop’s wife (then in Kaduna was Bishop Abioye’s wife) to explain to her. This thing was almost a year. She blessed the oil and gave me, several times I would forget; anoint today, forget two days after. Another time we ran into eachother in church and then she asked after my daughter, I said it is well (in Winners parlance, means something overwhelming). We kept walking and then she turned and said ‘be persistent‘, and I said ‘yes ma‘ and I started anointing again. And then one night I had forgotten to anoint and I heard deep in my sleep ‘Be Persistent‘ and I jumped up and began to pray as I moved towards her room. And what the Holy Spirit prompted me to pray was to use her service and I was telling GOD because she was in the Children’s church choir and very dedicated; herself and siblings very active. I said GOD ‘even if not my service, remember your daughter’s service. For the sake of her service bring an end to this affliction.’ And to the Glory of GOD it dried up. Sometime after, she said ‘it’s like‘, I said ‘no, whatever the LORD doeth is forever, affliction will not rise again. Don’t go near my oil, GOD has healed you and you’ll remain healed. It dried up.’
GODSPOWERPROJECT: Briefly discuss your Kingdom engagements with manifestations
Kemi Soyege: By GOD’S Grace I’ve been a rugged tither, unfailing one, because HE taught me to tithe and has engraced me also. HE’s given me strength to be a tither and because of that; before the need arises, supplies will always come. That’s one thing GOD has proven HIMSELF over the years.
I will also say ‘Sacrifice‘. Giving sacrificially is one thing I have tested and trusted over the years.
The first time sacrificial giving was raised, then I was in Kaduna, somebody gave me this beaded George wrapper, it was trendy and I loved it immediately as I was given. I was waiting for the right season to use it. When sacrificial giving was announced in church, the first thing that came to mind was the George wrapper. Since I did not think it was right to seed a gift, I went to assess the market price of that George and I’ll give it in cash. For two weeks nothing happened, I had started my business, and didnt get a dime from anywhere. I struggled and at the end of the day GOD gave me Grace to let go and I seeded it, and within the week I got 5 different materials in different categories free of charge.
Not too long ago when my first daughter got wedded, barely a year after my husband had passed away, I looked at what I had in my account and I knew without doubt that I couldn’t do anything, then I remembered that if i turned it to a seed, it would bring its harvest. Then I cleared my account and told GOD, this is the sacrificial seed towards the wedding of this daughter. And I tell you, if I sit down to check what I personally spent on my own, it was nothing near what I gave. It was almost nothing but the wedding came, people were calling and they were giving. Somebody paid for the hall. In Yoruba land the wedding falls more on the bride’s side, even though her husband was so reasonable that he called and said ‘Mum we need to look at the expenses that this wedding will take and we split it into two. My family takes half, your family takes half‘. Far back as that time, the wedding ran into millions, her wedding will be 10 years next year. Somebody called me, the cloth that I wore as the bride’s mum and even the groom’s mum was given to us by someone. She sent money to us and said ‘Go get what you needed to buy‘.
Money was just coming from everywhere, even for the bride. Things that we did ran into millions, but personally I don’t think we spent upto two or three hundred thousand, and to the Glory of GOD that wedding was awesome. Like our Father in the LORD will say ‘GOD is not a robber‘
GODSPOWERPROJECT: Your message for the future
Kemi Soyege: My message is consistency in service,
Christianity is not a one leg in one leg out thing, it’s either you’re in or you’re out. Like GOD’S Servant would say, in Christendom you dont sit on the fence. Either for GOD or against HIM. That a child of GOD is still mixing up and looking at other things as plan B incase GOD does not ‘work‘. GOD will not work.
Like HE told HIS Servant, don’t use one eye looking up and the other looking down, and say you’re looking unto ME. Either your two eyes are on GOD or not on HIM. GOD will not share HIS Glory with anybody.
Whatever it is we want GOD to be a part of; our lives, businesses, family, no matter how big or small, its either GOD all the way or not GOD.
My word for whoever chooses to be a Christian is Christianity is all the way, not a part-time business. Like Papa told somebody in school who asked ‘are you a Preacher or student?’ And he replied ‘I’m 100% a child of GOD and a part-time student‘. That’s the way to go with GOD.
100% nothing less.
