ARMY KILLS EIGHT BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS IN SAMBISA FOREST

Troops of the 21-Armoured Brigade, Bama, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) have killed eight Boko Haram terrorists in Sambisa Forest of Borno State.

The terrorists, were neutralised on July 20, 2023; after the troops, led by their front line Commander, destroyed three camps in the forest.

A counter-insurgency expert, and a security analyst, in the Lake Chad region, Malam Zagazola Makama, disclosed yesterday (Saturday), in Maiduguri that the troops stormed and cleared terrorists’ hideouts at Bula Daloye, Bulongu Dina and Mairamiri Dina villages.

According to him, the terrorists along with their families had been hibernating on the fringes of the forest since 2015.

A military source in Maiduguri, also stated that after a fierce gun battle with the terrorists, their weapons and other items were recovered, while others fled with gunshot wounds.

“After an hour fierce battle with the insurgents, several women and children were also rescued by our troops,” said the source.
