Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state, has said that President Bola Tinubu administration will fast track development projects in the six geo-political zones of the country.
According to him, Tinubu’s administration, is a meeting point of the Executive and Legislative arms of government to initiate and execute projects in the critical sectors of the economy, including the security of people’s lives.
The Director General, press and media affairs, Mamman Mohammed, disclosed this yesterday (Sunday), in Damaturu, that; “The executive and legislative backgrounds of the President and his Vice, Sen. Kashim Shettima, the Chief of Staff (CoS) and the Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF), provide a good working relationship between the two arms of government.”
Buni, in the statement, said: “President Tinubu and his Vice, Kashim Shettima and the SGF, George Akume were former governors and senators in the last two decades of democratically elected governments.”
He added that while the newly appointed Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajbiamila is the outgoing Speaker of the House of Representatives, making it a unique team for a new Nigeria
Continued; “Their excellent backgrounds in the Executive and Legislative arms of government, gives them the advantages to partner with the National Assembly to execute government policies and programmes.
“There will be no confrontations or oppositins in the initiations and execution of various development projects across the six geo-political zones of nation.”
He said that their backgrounds in public offices has no doubt prepared them for the task of delivering the dividends of democracy to the people without hinderances.
Buni, therefore, congratulated the President for making the right choice of the new appointees and for the opportunity given to them to serve the nation.
Buni assured the support and cooperation of the government and people of Yobe state to the new federal government during Tinubu’s administration.
He stated that there is no time to waste in soliciting for the cooperation of stakeholders and citizens to support the new administration.
“There will be a successful take-off of Tinubu/Shettima administration to meet the aspirations and needs of the people,” he said.
