BUNI CHARGES HIGH, SHARIA COURTS OF APPEAL JUDGES TO DISPENSE JUSTIE WITHOUT FEAR, FAVOUR

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state, has charged the State’s High Court and Sharia Court of Appeal Judge and Khadi to dispense justice without fear or favour to the public.

Buni tasked the Judge and Khadi, over the weekend (Friday), while swearing in Adamu Mohammed Jajere and Kasim Mohammed Kashim respectively at the Government House. Damaturu.

He said that they should dispense justice without fear or favour, warning that justice delayed is justice denied to the public.

According to him, their appointments were based on merit and wealth of experience in exercising their responsibilities and confidence in the state’s judiciary.

His words: “I’ve no doubt they will use their wealth of experience in executing the duties of their offices with high sense of responsibiliti.”

Buni noted that their appointments were based on merit and therefore have no doubt they will use their wealth of experience to execute duties of their offices with a high sense of responsibility in dispensing justice with confidence.”

He assured that the judges will contribute in the quick dispensation of justice, warning that; “Justice delayed is justice denied to the people.”

The Governor, therefore, enjoyed the judges with a good working relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government.

“You should work in harmony with your colleagues and staff and contribute to the peaceful relationship between the two arms of government,” he said, noting that it will benefit the people of the state.

He, therefore, assured the State government’s commitment in supporting the judiciary, while discharging its duties for quick dispensation of justice.
