NEW AIG ZONE 2, AIG ARI ALI WARNS CRIMINALS: RELOCATE OR GET DISLOCATED
AIG Zone 2 Command, AIG Ari Mohammed Ali addressing pressmen shortly after resuming as the AIG In Charge of Zone, Onikan.
As he assumes office as the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2 command, AIG Ari Mohammed Ali officially resumed work at the Nigeria Police Zone comprising Lagos and Ogun states during the week. Visibly elated, AIG Ali noted that he will provide veritable leadership which will deliver safety and security of lives and properties in the two states.
AIG Ari Mohammed Ali said: ‘I feel highly elated and excited to be here. I am a hard fighter even without been told so I have taken into cognizance everything. I am fully prepared. When you see challenges as problems, you already have the defeatist mentality but when you see challenges as opportunities, you will excel.’
Assuring the residents of Lagos and Ogun states, he added: ‘You should expect us to bring crime under control, to give Lagosians and of course Ogun state the enabling environment for people to do their businesses without fear of attack. The best approach to fight cultism is community policing and the best way to do it is to work with all the actors – parents, teachers, landlord associations, community leaders etc. I am telling criminals to relocate, whoever does not we will dislocate that person.’
‘In the Police we have our own internal discipline mechanism. We are organized, nobody is above discipline. All we need to do is to strengthen those areas where our officers are not doing well. Once you do that, you are home and dry, everyone will fall in place and do what is right’, Ali concluded.
