The Nigeria Security Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 762 personnel to ensure a hitch free and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration in Yobe.
Spokesman of the Corps, Assistant Superintendent Corps (ASC), Bala Garba, disclosed yesterday (Wednesday), in Damaturu that security will be provided at all praying grounds in the 17 local councils in the state.
Other areas to be beefed up with security during the Sallah celebration over the weekend included recreation and other public centres.
He said this was to prevent any criminal activities during and after the Eid-el-Fitr festivities across the state.
He, therefore, urged the people to give prompt and credible information about suspicious movements of persons or groups to the Corps and other security agencies.
Garba reiterated the Command’s commitment to collaborate with other security agencies and wished Muslims a peaceful Sallah.
End.
