Peter Obi Defeats Tinubu, Atiku In FCT Abuja

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has defeated his closest oppositions; Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja in the Saturday presidential election.

According to the result by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Obi polled 281,717 votes, while Tinubu scored 90,902 votes and Atiku got 74,199 votes.

However, a total of 478,923 people were accredited to vote in Abuja, which implies that Peter Obi secured about 59 per cent of the votes cast.

Tinubu got 19 per cent of the votes while Atiku got 15 per cent of the votes in the Federal Capital Territory.
