Troops of 152 Battalion, Banki, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), Northeast, have neutralized eight Boko Haram terrorists in Banki of Bama local council in Borno state.
The terrorists were killed on Monday, February 13, 2023 in an ambush of troops in the Mayinty-Darajamal border axis with Cameroon.
A counter-insurgency expert, in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, disclosed, yesterday (Tuesday), in Maiduguri that; “The troops in collaboration with Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and hunters ambushed the terrorists and neutralized them.”
On how they were killed, Makama said: “The insurgents were sighted hibernating to launch attacks on the border community of Banki before they were intercepted for elimination.”
A military source in Maiduguri, also stated that the troops recovered six AK-47 rifles, two motorcycles and several other weapons from the fleeing terrorists.
