Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise GOD
She wakes first and sleeps last in her bid to ensure that there is free flow of traffic in Lagos State. She lives on the mainland but before 6am, you can hear her voice in Ajah on the Island, Trek Africa Newspaper confirms to Scroll Report Oki Samson
That’s the indefatigable CSP Titilayo Oriyomi Oluwasanmi, the O/C Motor Traffic Division, Lagos State Command.
Like her, the traffic officers in the Nigeria Police, Lagos Command are also up and running as early as possible everyday. This is because traffic in cosmopolitan Lagos can be hectic.
Managing the intense traffic, especially in the peak hours of mornings and evenings, cannot be for the lily-livered.Thus, the O/C MotoPol in Lagos understands where the shoe pinches. That is why she went the extra mile days ago, in her small way, to appreciate police traffic officers who stand under the sun and in the rain to maintain Lagos traffic. Trek Africa Newspaper reports that CSP Oluwasanmi paid unscheduled visits to the traffic officers across Lagos bus-stops and parks.
During the visit, CSP Oluwasanmi had brief chat with the officers as well as encouraged them. Also, she gifted them packaged items to also boost their morale.
The traffic officers could not hide their joy at this kind gesture by their leader. Not only them, passers-by, motorists, and other road users hailed this move by the O/C Motor Traffic as a right step in the right direction. They told Trek Africa Newspaper that the O/C’s move will provide needed tonic to police officers and men who sweat on the roads on a daily basis.
This fantastic move by the O/C MotoPol in Lagos further emphasizes the positive signals that the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba is showing to officers under his watch with his many staff welfare, trainings and motivation programmes. It also reiterates the leadership by empathy and example of the Lagos Commissioner of Police, CP Sylvester Abiodun Alabi.
Kudos to the O/C MotoPol, CSP Titilayo Oriyomi Oluwasanmi.
