Nigerian disc jockey and musician, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola known better as DJ Cuppy, is now officially engaged to her 30-year-old British professional boxer partner, Ryan Taylor.
DJ Cuppy, the second daughter of billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, said Yes to her partner who is a British boxer and Youtuber.
In a video trending on social media, Taylor went on one knee at the Gumball Awards ceremony in Abu Dhabi last night, and popped the question.
Cuppy who appeared to be shocked, said yes and hugged her lover.
After getting the ring, the duo shared a kiss to the rhythmic dictates of Bruno Mars’ ‘Marry You’.
This development has shocked many fans, and some are currently perplexed as to how she became engaged after recently lamenting her single status.
A Twitter user @Deevybs stated that the boxer was able to get engaged to Cuppy because he was able to fight for her heart.
She tweeted: “DJ Cuppy got engaged to by a Boxer because he was able to fight for her love and won her heart.”
While congratulating the Jollof on a jet crooner, @SirDavidBent hailed the entertainer for the way she made ‘silent’ moves.
According to him: “DJ Cuppy ignored all the people trolling her about how old she was getting and still staying in her father’s house, and made her silent moves. She knew how controversial her relationship would have been if she brought it online. A very wise girl in my opinion. Congratulations.”
Another user of the social media platform, @OlisaOsega noted how impressed she was about how the disc jockey was able to ‘confuse’ her enemies.
“I just woke up and saw that DJ Cuppy is now engaged. This was someone who has always claimed to be single here. Lmao not everyone who tweets “God when” here is actually single. Some people are in a sweet relationship and are God whening with you. Congratulations to Cuppy,” she wrote.
Journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, took a jab at a certain Lerry who was reportedly introduced to Cuppy’s family by the DJ. She tweeted: “Lerry Werey: All the time spent in my DM abusing me. Recall that DJ Cuppy’s sister also got engaged to her lover, Mr. Eazi, earlier this year, a decision that drew praise from a wide range of people, including Dj Cuppy, who couldn’t contain her joy as she prayed for the couple online.
