A 38-year-old man has been arrested in Akodo area of Lagos State for killing his mother-in-law and one other person.
His arrest was confirmed by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin on Saturday, 19 November, 2022.
According to the PPRO, the man whose name was not revealed, killed his mother-in-law because she discovered he was having carnal knowledge of her 14-year old daughter who is his wife’s younger sister.
The mother-in-law vowed to get him arrested and charge him to court.
This got him enraged and he killed her. But unfortunately, someone saw him commit the crime.
In a bid to cover up his crime, he killed the witness.
Hundeyin tweeted: “Somewhere in Akodo, this 38-year-old man killed his mother-in-law, only to discover someone saw him commit the crime.
“He quickly killed the man that saw him. Suspect is in custody. Preliminary investigation shows that he killed his MIL because she discovered he was having carnal knowledge of his wife’s 14-year old younger sister (MIL’s daughter) and vowed to take it up.
“Case has been transferred to the SCID for conclusion of investigation and arraignment.”
