ISWAP terrorists kidnap six Borno farmers

The suspected Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists have kidnapped six farmers in Mafa Local Council of Borno state.

The farmers were abducted, while working on the respective farmlands along the 85-kilometers Maiduguri/Dikwa road.

A Counter Insurgency Expert and Analyst, in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, yesterday (Thursday), in Maiduguri, disclosed: “The victims who are mostly Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) went missing in Bulagarji village near Mafa town.”

Relatives of the victims who confirmed the incident, said the insurgents attacked the farmers and took them to an unknown location in the early hours of Wednesday.

An anonymous relative of the abductees, disclosed that the terrorists are demanding a ransom of N5 million before they release the farmers.
