The Lagos House of Assembly has adopted the recommendations of the House Committee on Housing on the new amendment for the Lagos State Mortgage and Property (Amendment) Bill, 2021.
The amendment is aimed to strengthen the process of mortgage and encourage people to go into property transactions.
It would be recalled that the Bill has six amendments, five of which are insertion of new sections while the other amends the interpretation section.
In an unrelated development, the House received a letter from the Governor on the nomination of Mr. Salami Sikiru Adeniyi for the position of Permanent Secretary, State Auditor-General and Mr. Ogunlana Obafemi Musa for the position of the Permanent Secretary, Auditor-General, Unified Local Government Service.
