Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state has commiserated with the families of three slain security personnel. The policemen were killed while repelling Boko Haram terrorists from the Gujba community in the early hours of last Thursday. Buni’s Spokesman, Mamman Mohammed in a statement Saturday in Damaturu, the state capital disclosed that; “Three security personnel strategically stationed in the community, however lost their lives.”
He described the slain policemen as heroes who paid the supreme price of defending the Gujba community. While commiserating with the families of the deceased, he said: “The sacrifice made by these brave heroes shall never be in vain,” assuring that the state government is committed to the protection of people’s lives and property.
