Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno state, has Monday swore in Professor
Isa Marte as the Chief of Staff (CoS) and Abba Sadiq, a member of
Judicial Service Commission (JSC).
According to him, the appointments, were based on diligent
consideration and wide consultations among stakeholders.
While swearing in Marte and Sadiq yesterday at Government House,
Maiduguri, Zulum said that their appointments, were in recognition of
individual credentials, proven capacity, integrity, passion for
selfless service and dedication to duties.
He therefore, urged the appointees to use their wealth of experience
to complement the vision of good governance, accountability and
transparency.
He also paid tribute to the late CoS, Babagana Wakil, for his
selflessness in actualizing government policies and programmes.
While responding, Marte thanked the governor for the confidence reposed in them.
He described Governor Zulum as a leader who always thinks of his
people and tries to find a solution to the problem in the state with a
view to develop and improve the living conditions of people.
Continued; “Zulum is a people-centred leader, a man who fears God,
which is very important in leadership calling.
“If you look at his vision and mission, we share a lot and once this
is followed, Borno State will come out as the best.”
