President Muhammadu Buhari has assured that his administration would continue to improve on health care, education, employment generation and infrastructural development of the nation, pledging never to tolerate and harbour corruption.
He gave this assurance during the mega rally for the All Progressives Congress (APC), Osun state governorship candidate, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, at the Oshogbo township stadium, Oshogbo, yesterday.
“By voting for and electing Oyetola, you are consolidating on the developmental achievements of the outgoing government in Osun”, he said, adding that Oyetola is ready for the enormous task ahead.
The state Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, in his speech, said “we are winning the September 22 governorship election with a landslide and overwhelming victory.
According to him, God will be favourable towards the APC candidate, because his administration has performed excellently and has changed the face of Osun State.
National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, urged the people of the state to massively vote for the APC, to ensure the continuation of the good works of Aregbesola
Oshiomhole said what is needed at this time is a competent leader with brain and character, rather than an apprentice.
National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in his address, said “we are very proud of the progress that Osun has witnessed in the areas of education, infrastructural development and employment generation.
While commending the President for having the love of Nigerians at heart, Tinubu assured that APC will ensure his victory in the 2019 Presidential poll.
Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai, who spoke on behalf of all the governors present, said “Aregbesola has done extremely well. We are proud of his achievements and we know that the progress will be expanded with the victory of Oyetola.”
Among governors present were those of Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Lagos, Plateau, Kebbi, Edo, Kaduna and Kano states.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha, former National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, ministers, members of National Assembly and former governors, also graced the rally.
