Senegal and Tunisia are both the highest ranked African nations in the latest FIFA World Rankings, following their performance in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Tunisia won one of its three group matches in Russia, making the team drop three places to the 24th rank, while Senegal climbed three places to 24 after a win and a draw in World Cup’s group stage.
Egypt dropped 20 places to 65 following their poor performance in the World Cup, as they lost all three of the group stage matches. The Pharaohs are currently ranked 11th of the African continent. Morocco dropped 5 places to 46, after a draw and two losses in Russia.
Nigeria lost one place after a win and two defeats.
