The pre Annual General Meeting of ASUU Cooperative Lagos State University Chapter, rose today with a decision to hand over the President and the Treasurer to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC.
Coker the President and Akeusola the Treasurer were alleged to have defrauded the Cooperative to the tune of nearly #42million.For instance it was alleged that in their handover note they claimed a shop project was #48million only for them to turn around to say it was #78million.Sources said they allegedly could not account for the #30million. The Cooperative gave them two options: either to buy the shop building at #78million or refund #30million.Neither of the options were accepted by them
It was also alleged that the executives spent #12million to expand the Cooperative multi- purpose secretariat.
Also among the allegations was the Coker and Akeusola issued cheques for goods that were never supplied to the Cooperative store.
