There are indications that the waiting game for board appointment may be over, following the approval of some names for appointment few days ago. The approval raised hopes that many more people may be appointed.
Party leaders, stakeholders and loyalists have been impatiently waiting to be given one appointment or the other. The board appointment into Federal government agencies and Parastatals ought to have been fully effected within few months after this administration came into office. It was expected that by January this year appointment into all the boards as the presidency announced last year. A similar promise was made in 2015.
Today, most federal government agencies are still without board. An APC member told Scroll Report that the party members hope that the President will put all machinery in place to fast-track the process of board appointments which have been done in piecemeal.
