The PSG and Juventus most sought after player would now seem to be considering his options following the misunderstanding and disagreement that raged between him and his teammates and more so his manager Arsene Wenger during training session.
It was a bit shocking that a calibre of player such as Alexis Sachez did not feature in the starting line up during the weekend match against Liverpool. Considering the roles he has played for the team so far, it was surprising. He is a very important player for the team and has put 17 goals in the back of the net this season and has also helped the team with 9 assists in 26 games. He is currently the club highest goal scorer competing with the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Diego Costa and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He is undoubtedly a key player and as such one would expect that he would have started the match but not so for Arsene Wenger claiming that he has been ostentatious and has shown some form of indiscipline.
The reason Arsene Wenger dropped Alexis was not because he wasn’t match fit neither was he injured but for disciplinary reasons. Report reaching Scroll Report stated that Alexis Sanchez had gotten in a disagreement with teammates during the mid-week training session and he had left the training angrily.
But for one reason or the other, Wenger resorted in putting the Chilean in the second half of the game. And afterward, he set up a goal for Danny Welbeck to restore hope to the team but the team struggled and failed to come back on level term and in the closing minutes of the game Liverpool eventually scored and made it 3 goals to one.
The question is if Alexis Sanchez had started the game would it have made much more difference than bringing him on as a substitute? In my opinion i think he would have had much more impact in the game than he was asked to do in the second half.
Alexis at the moment has not put his hand on a paper to sign a new deal with the club. And as it stands it is looking less likely possible that he would be doing that very soon as a result of his recent left out from the starting line up in the weekend match against Liverpool. Now he might want to seriously consider his options as Juventus are most likely to get his signature. But PSG is also on the chase for the player and as it stands one of both clubs might eventually sign the player.
