The anticipated Draw for the group stage of 2018 FIFA World Cup will take place right in the heart of Russia’s capital, the Kremlin. “We suggested the Kremlin and FIFA has taken us up on the offer,” said Russian Vice-President and former Sports Minister Witali Mutko in an interview today.
The draw will take place on December 1st and the tournament will be held in Russia between the 14 June and 15 July 2018. The defending World Champions Germany under Joachim Löw are well on the way to securing their ticket to Russia, currently leading qualification Group C with 12 points from 4 matches.
